Uplook - August 3, 2024
Greetings from Seoul South Korea,
It is Monday morning here (which is still your Sunday night) and we are preparing to travel to the airport for our return trip home later this afternoon. We have just completed a sweet time of fellowship at our South Korean Camp meeting. Saints from our six Korean churches gathered at the Seoul church for a packed schedule of services, meetings, prayer, and fellowship which began on last Thursday night.
We were also thrilled to have Bro. Yoshiki Ohno and his wife Sis. Rei with us from Japan for these meetings. We shared an upstairs apartment during the three nights they were in Korea with us. We are also very thankful for Bro. Taiwoo Park who was in Korea for business and personal reasons but was able to adjust his schedule to be present in most of the services. He preached the opening service on Thursday night and also interpreted for my three later sermons as well as interpreting testimonies and announcements for the Ohno’s and us.
Following the theme of our Portland camp, the Korean camp sermons focused on basic building blocks of our church including Salvation, Entire Sanctification, The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, God’s Order and Authority, and the Church as the Body of Christ. We were thrilled to see so many young people accepting the challenge of the Gospel for the next generation. Please continue to pray for God’s work in South Korea, Japan, and throughout the world. I have submitted a full report to Bro. Sola at HQ along with photos which will soon be posted there if you are interested.
Lori and I depart for the airport in less than an hour and plan to be back in Seattle early Monday evening there. There will be no Bible Study this week. They will resume on Wednesday, August 14. God bless each of you that have “held the fort” in our absence. We were able to watch the Seattle Sunday night service live here as our morning devotional. We so enjoyed hearing the children sing the Youth Camp theme song. They are 100% of our future by God’s grace. Looking forward to being home.
In Christ,
BB
