Uplook - March 2, 2024
Good afternoon dear saints,
Lori and I have returned from our time in Portland for their Winter Tabernacle Meetings. We were privileged to be in four evening services and also attend a minister/pastors meeting and lunch fellowship. Thank you for your prayers for my small part (a presentation in the Ministers Meeting). They were appreciated. I thought I would share today just a few tidbits gleaned from those services and meetings:
“Darkness is all around us but we have the Gospel as a light.”
“A good meal takes a little longer to prepare but will satisfy your true hunger”
“Loyalty is what keeps you going even when things are difficult or painful.”
“When you enter a Gospel service …it is a realm of possibility.”
“One cannot hold a grudge and live a victorious Christian life.”
“Our testimony is the sum total of our life choices.”
Of course, all of these short quotes had context which could be explored, but it seems to me there is enough truth in each one to give each of us room to consider and consecrate a little deeper as we continue to move closer to Easter. May we walk in God’s light and satisfy ourselves on the “living bread” rather than the things of the world. May we keep going, even when things are difficult or painful and may we lay aside any grudges or hurt feelings. May our testimony be lined with choices for God and His ways and when things seem “impossible” may we remember that with God, all things are possible.
God bless you all.
