Uplook - July 27, 2024

Dear Saints,

Our young people returned home today from a great week at youth camp.  Lori and I had the opportunity to spend Wednesday there with them and were reminded that the future of our church is bright indeed with the many young people gathered there to learn and worship the Lord (as well as have a great time playing games, swimming, etc.).   A great big thank you is in order to those adults who drove and served as counselors and staff during the camp.  It is not a small consecration or sacrifice to take a week of vacation to serve these young people but I believe it will pay dividends in eternity.  Continue to pray for our young people…that they will build upon the foundation and experiences gained at the recent camp meeting and youth camp.

Lori and I will be leaving for South Korea on Monday to attend their annual camp meeting. This year we are blessed to have Bro. Taiwoo there for his work so he will stay to help with the preaching and interpreting.  Please pray for us for traveling safety and strength and also for the Holy Spirit to guide and help throughout the services.   We will be blessed to have Bro. Ron & Sis. Yvonne Bishop with us here in Seattle over August 4 to preach during the time we are away.

There are also many other camp meetings being held around the world during this summer and fall including those in the Midwestern and Southern USA, Canada, Western/Central Africa, United Kingdom, and Southern Africa.  Please keep them in your prayers and thoughts.  God is indeed at work in our world even though our part may seem a bit small and unnoticed by many.  It reminds me of the lyrics of a hymn which I will leave with you today.

Little Is Much When God Is In It -  by Kittie L. Suffield  CCLI # 911387
1 In the harvest field now ripened There’s a work for all to do;
Hark! the voice of God is calling To the harvest calling you.
Chorus:
Little is much when God is in it, Labor not for wealth or fame;
There’s a crown, and you can win it, If you go in Jesus’ name.
2 Does the place you’re called to labor Seem too small and little known?
It is great if God is in it, And He’ll not forget His own.
[Chorus]
3 When the conflict here is ended And our race on earth is run,
He will say, if we are faithful, "Welcome home, My child, well done!"
[Chorus]

May the Lord help each of us to do the work God has called us to with joy and fresh enthusiasm.  He will not forget us and there is a crown to be won as we go in Jesus’ name.  May we continue to be faithful until we hear those words “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”   God bless each of you.
