Uplook - June 8, 2024
Dear Saints,
What a beautiful day it has been. I often say that in Seattle, no one is unhappy on days like today. Of course that is not technically true because sin, brokenness, sorrow, and pain are not exclusive to rainy days but I hope you understand the spirit of what I meant.
I heard a saying somewhere that went something like “It is your attitude, not your aptitude, which determine your altitude.” Without in-depth study of aeronautics it is intuitive that an airplane with the nose up is going to go up (with sufficient power) and one pointed down will (even without power) go down. May the Lord help us all to look up and lift up our heads because our redemption draws near. The scripture speaks of the son of righteousness” rising with healing in His wings so we know there is sufficient power available to us. So even in dark times we have the promise of Jesus’ soon return and the hope which that brings to us as believers. World events while sometimes troubling should cause us to pray “Even so, Lord Jesus, come quickly.
