Weekly Uplook January 7
Greetings from the Philippines.
It is already Sunday morning here and we are slated to install a new District Superintendent for the churches here this morning. His name is Rev. Fernan T. Fiegalan but affectionately known by most as Bro. Roque. (Rocky). Please pray for him and his family as he accepts the mantle of leadership here in the Philippines following the tragic death of their former leader back in late September.
It has been an eventful week since I last wrote…with a branch church dedication, visiting three churches in northern provinces and holding one service on our first overnight trip, and visiting two churches in the western provinces and holding one child dedication. After todays services we anticipate traveling next week to visit two churches in a province on the east coast and then two more churches located in the extended outskirts of Manila. We will have a final service on Wednesday evening and then head back to Manila on Thursday for our late night departure. After a 13 hour layover in Incheon, South Korea we will be on our way back to Seattle and Lord willing, home around noon Friday.
We so appreciate all of you who keep things going in our absence and also for your prayers for our safety and the furtherance of the Gospel work here. We miss you all and are praying for your services on Sunday there. Lori joins me in sending our warmest love and greetings.
