Uplook - December 29, 2024

Greetings from the Philippines.  

Lori and I arrived safely on Friday morning and have been actively involved in the Philippines annual December Campmeeting.  Saints from many of our churches gather together for this 4 day year end camp.   The theme this year was taken from 1 Peter 4:7:

         “But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.”

We heard sermons and Bible Teachings about preparing our hearts for the rapture of the church, Israel as God’s timetable, The end times and technology, and the days of Noah and Lot.  Sunday mornings message centered around the theme verse and how even in difficult times of suffering we could be calm and clear minded concerning the future, keeping a prayerful watch for the Lord’s return.  After a ministers meeting on Sunday afternoon there will be a Sunday evening service.  The camp will conclude on Monday with a Water Baptismal service and then a closing session.   Please pray for the over 400 who were in attendance at the camp.  

We will continue in the Philippines celebrating a couple of church anniversaries and visiting several other branch churches.  We are also praying for each of you back home and trusting that your Sunday is blessed along with the coming new year.  God bless you all.

Year end contributions.  Please remember that all cash and online donations must be made by December 31 for tax credit for this year.  Also any checks must be dated no later than December 31 and received before January 15 to receive credit for this year.
