Uplook - August 15, 2026

Dearest Seattle Saints,

I am writing you today from our accommodations at the Faith City Nigeria camp meeting.   We were privileged to attend their annual concert this afternoon (it is Saturday evening here) and it was quite good with prayer following.  The great tabernacle here seats over 20,000 people and is expected to be full tomorrow.  We're thankful for how God's work has grown here and is thriving by God's grace.  The theme of the camp meeting is Surely, I Come Quickly and the title of my sermon for tomorrow is "Waiting for the Day".   People have been very gracious to us and are glad we are here.  It is a good feeling to know that the Gospel is the common factor for us as believers around the world, no matter the economic, political, or cultural differences.   it reminds me of the words of the Apostle Paul when he said:

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Colossians 3:10–11

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  Romans 10:12–13

God has called people from around the world and across the street to serve Him.  The riches of heaven have been given to pay the price for salvation.  And when received we become new creations in Christ, with the mar of sin removed and our hearts renewed to the image of the creator.   When we see Christ in others, the problems, challenges, and differing personalities are swallowed up by His great love.  May that be our testimony.  

We are praying for services there.  Please pray for us as well.
