Uplook - May 17, 2025

Good morning from Medford Oregon,

Lori and I have spent the week here visiting our son and his family and also had the privilege to be in Bible Study with the saints here in Medford.  As many of you know, Medford was our home for many years before I became a pastor and then again when I was pastor here for 6 1/2 years before returning to Seattle.

We took time while here to visit some of our "memorials".   We drove by both of our childhood homes.  It is in mine that I prayed and was saved and it was in the driveway of Lori's where I proposed marriage.  We drove by my grandmothers home and even visited the graves of my parents and grandparents.   I share all of this only to remind us all that while we cannot and should not "live in the past" we can and should have memorials or anchor points to which we can look back to remind us of God's goodness and faithfulness to us. Life brings storms and difficulties for all but God remains good and faithful and can be depended upon.  We need to remind ourselves and remind each other of this regularly.

We will head for the airport soon for our return to Seattle where we also have many memorials and continue to serve the Lord with joy knowing that we also have "family" there as well.

God bless you all,
BB
