Uplook - August 29, 2026

Good morning from Ghana, West Africa,

Lori and I arrived here from Lagos, Nigeria on Thursday morning.  After our two Sundays at the Faith City Nigeria campmeeting we spent a couple of days touring the Apostolic Faith WeCA Headquarters facilities and visiting the first AFC location in Nigeria.  The scope of what God has done in Western Africa in our work is amazing indeed.  The Gospel was gladly received and continues to grow here.  Like in all places they have challenges but God is helping and they are zealous to see God work.  My apologies for not writing more or sooner but the schedule has been quite packed with a Bible Teaching, Sunday sermon, ordinations, tours of the facilities as well as Crawford University as well as  greeting many plus the regular camp schedule.

In Ghana there are around 50 Apostolic Faith churches here and they have gathered for a two week camp meeting with the same theme as the one in Nigeria, "Surely, I Come Quickly."   Attendance here is perhaps over a thousand and it is a joy to be in meetings with the same sweet spirit we feel at home.   I was tasked with giving an "executive summary" of my Portland Camp teachings on courtship, marriage, and family and then to answer questions which proved quite interesting and challenging.   I am slated to preach Sunday morning  which is the middle Sunday of their campmeeting.   Ghana, like Nigeria has many similarities to places in Asia where we have travelled so we have acclimated very well to the weather and accommodations by God's grace.

Lord willing, our plan is to begin our travel home on Monday and we expect to be in Wednesday evening Bible Study by God's grace and certainly will be in services on next Sunday. Thank you for your prayers and you can all be assured that we have been praying for you all during our absence.  Sis. Lori sends her warm love to all as do I.

In Christ,
BB
