Uplook - July 29,2023

Greetings from Kawasaki Japan,

It is Sunday morning here and we will depart for church in about an hour.  We arrived safely on Friday evening and were met by Bro. Yoshiki at the airport.  Summers in Southeast Asia are typically very hot and humid and this time is no exception.  After a good nights sleep we arose and headed into Tokyo via train to have lunch with Yoshiki and his fiancés family and some of her church friends at her church.  At 3 pm we were privileged to attend a formal engagement ceremony held at the church.  We heard many stories about both of them and were blessed.  After a challenging trip back to the hotel (due to crowds attending a fireworks festival) we gladly had a second nights rest.  

Our schedule today includes morning worship, lunch at the church, a Board of Directors meeting, and then we will attend a class of students to whom Yoshiki is teaching English.   The evening will conclude with dinner at a restaurant with the saints.   We will travel on to South Korea on Monday afternoon to attend their annual Camp meeting.  Please pray for us.

We have heard good reports from Youth Camp and from Campmeeting in other places around the world.  We believe God is at work.  May he work in each of our hearts as well.
