Weekly Uplook - November 19

Happy Sunny Seattle Saturday,

A hearty thanks to each of you that worked and prayed to make our Special Meetings a great blessing to many last weekend.  It was a joy to gather together with saints from several of our sister churches for inspiring church services and wonderful fellowship over delicious meals and snacks.  God bless you all.    This was also the first weekend we have streamed our Sunday morning service along with our previously scheduled Sunday evening and Wednesday night services.   We are still working on some details behind the scenes and would appreciate your continuing prayers that they will be worked out smoothly.

We will be having both services tomorrow along with Sunday school but there will be no Bible Study in person or streaming on Wednesday in observance a bit early of the traditional American Thanksgiving holiday.  And the following Sunday begins the Christian season of Advent …where we look toward the celebration of Christ’s incarnation in Bethlehem’s manger.   It seems strange that the year has gone by so quickly but we are certainly thankful for all the Lord has done for many of us and for the opportunity to worship together on a regular basis as well as now to also stream our services.

And speaking of Christmas, we were able to complete 25 Operation Christmas Child boxes and they have been delivered for distribution.  We will let you know where they end up when we are informed.  God bless you all for your giving hearts.

And finally,  we have updated the church contact list.  Please let me know if you would like to have a copy emailed to you.  I will also try to have a few printed copies available at church beginning tomorrow.   Remember…the information on the list is not to be used for any business or commercial purposes but only to allow encouragement and fellowship between the saints.

God bless you all and may we all make thanksgiving more than just a day to celebrate but a way of life because of what Jesus has done.
In Christ,

BB
